Ethernet   Telnet
SNMP adapter is equipped with Ethernet 10MBit 10-Base T, through RJ-45 (8P8C) standard connector mounted on front panel.
Adapters are connected to any Ethernet HUB, Switch.
For 100 MBit Nets it is needed to use 100/10 AutoSwitch.

Implemented protocols: ARP, ICMP, TCP/IP TELNET, UDP SNMP,

IP address, IP mask, Default Gateway: configurable by the TELNET, or RS232 standard terminal programs.

Routing: static by default gateway.
IP Default GateWay is used to interconnection between nets.
GateWay IP setup user can edit by TELNET or by RS232 commands

MAC address: configurable by RS232 terminal (Hyperterminal, Winterm, term90, ...

  In adapter is implemented standard TCP/IP Telnet application. By  Telnet, user can inspect all actual temperatures.

User can access device settings by password:

  • adapter name
  • sensors names
  • LO/HI temperature borders for every sensor, TRAPS period
  • adapter IP address, Mask, Gateway
  • see  Telnet commands
SNMP protocol   RS-232 connectivity
Standard connectivity to temperatures is SNMP Ver:1.00 protocol. 

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is layer under UDP port 161.

  As temperature sensor are strictly used DALLAS Semiconductor digital sensors DS1822 or DS18S20.
All sensors are connected to adapter in common 3-wire bus.


  • Range: -40 .. 125'C
  • Resolution: 0.1C
  • Maximum error: +/- 0.5C
  • Number of sensors: up to 16

Temperature sensor is delivered with RJ 4-4 HUB. it is the simple way to make connections between sensors and SNMP adapter.
Used is 4-wire standard phone line cable crimped with RJ4-4 connectors. 2wires is used for Ground.
